On the afternoon of January 30, 2026, Gu Haidong, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, led a delegation to visit Wuhan UVLEDTEK Technology Co., Ltd. for inspection and guidance. The delegation was warmly received by Chairman Dr. Chen Changqing and his team. Both sides held discussions on further deepening cooperation and promoting industrial upgrading.
Chairman Chen Changqing extended a warm welcome and sincere thanks to Vice Mayor Gu and his delegation. He introduced the development history and core technologies of UVLEDTEK, and elaborated on the cutting-edge technologies and market applications of ultraviolet semiconductor chips in fields such as new energy vehicles, biopharmaceuticals, healthcare, and intelligent manufacturing. He also highlighted the significant contributions of its Suzhou-based subsidiary, Suzhou Uvcantek Technology Co., Ltd., in semiconductor epitaxial material growth. He noted that UVLEDTEK is highly optimistic about Suzhou's favorable industrial ecosystem and plans to seize emerging market opportunities for ultraviolet chips in sectors such as new energy vehicles, biopharmaceuticals, food safety, and water purification, accelerating the company's development.
Vice Mayor Gu gained a detailed understanding of UVLEDTEK's operations, technological innovation, and market expansion, and expressed recognition for the company's efforts in advancing the ultraviolet semiconductor chip industry and promoting mercury-free technologies. He pointed out that Suzhou is a leading hub for automotive components and industrial innovation in China, as well as one of the most dynamic cities in terms of new A-share listed companies. He emphasized that UVLEDTEK should continue to strengthen semiconductor technology innovation, develop intelligent system solutions for broader application scenarios, expand overseas markets, improve operational efficiency, and promote coordinated upgrading across the industrial chain.
He also stressed the importance of maintaining a market-oriented approach, enriching product portfolios, enhancing product quality, and precisely tapping into niche market segments to steadily expand market share and brand influence, aiming to become a "hidden champion" in the industry. He added that both municipal and district-level governments in Suzhou will further increase support for the company's technological innovation, capacity expansion, and market development, jointly advancing the progress of UVLEDTEK's dual-headquarters project in Suzhou, and exploring broader and deeper cooperation to provide strong support for regional economic development.
